PIONEER LEADER ADMINISTRATOR

Accountable to:
Point Leader For Pioneer Leader Initiative (Daniel Cole)

Role description:
Working directly with the Point Leader to assist with the administration of activities related to the Pioneer Leader learning community.

Specific tasks:

  • Organise meetings and sending out agendas, facilitating room bookings and ensuring practical set-up
  • liaising with the departments on behalf of the Point Leader
  • providing administration and coordination of the application process
  • Provide general administration support to the Point Leader .
  • The planning and execution of annual retreat
  • oversee the administration of the learning community gatherings
  • point of contact to the pioneer leaders
  • help to arrange one to one meetings with pioneer leaders and there mentor/ pastoral leader
  • Liaising with media and production teams for AV requirements.
  • Overseeing the Pioneer Leader calendar and other key dates.
  • Supporting the Point Leader with budget requests, liaising with the finance team on all invoice, mileage and expenses.

Person specification

  • Ability to provide a KingsGate pastoral reference
  • KingsGate Partner
  • Regular attendance at a LifeGroup

Key skills, attributes and/or experience

Essential:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an administration role.


Support and personal development

  • Training related to your responsibilities as a volunteer.
  • A named person who will supervise your volunteering and with whom you can discuss your work.
  • Regular meetings with your supervisor.
  • A review of your volunteering role after three months (this will normally be carried out by your supervisor).
  • Reimbursement of your expenses. The organisation does not want you to be disadvantaged financially because of your volunteering. It will therefore provide you with your travel expenses to and from work at the cost of the cheapest method of travel. If claiming petrol, then this will be paid at the prevailing mileage rate.
  • Access to the church Dynamics system, if appropriate, and any training required to use it.
  • Technical equipment to do the role well, including use of Teams and any other packages deemed necessary.
  • Ability to have full involvement in the life of the staff team, e.g., Summer BBQ and Christmas meal.

Time commitment

  • 7- 10 hours a week (But this may vary from week to week)
  • Office-based, but there is an opportunity for hybrid working, once established in the role.
