Jacob's Group
Led by:
Sue Cant
We're a welcoming and supportive Connect Group for adults with learning disabilities or mental health challenges. We celebrate each person’s unique strengths and are passionate about helping everyone feel valued, connected, and encouraged as they grow socially, spiritually, and in confidence. Through a variety of activities and opportunities to build friendships, we create a place where people can belong and flourish.
Time & Location:
The second Tuesday of every month (except August), 7:30pm–9pm (with early arrival for set-up), at KingsGate.
What we're looking for:
We are looking for caring team members who are passionate about people and would love to help create a positive, welcoming, and enriching community. You will be someone who engages warmly with others, values every individual, and encourages people to grow in confidence and reach their potential. As part of the team, you will support activities, work collaboratively with other volunteers, and be willing to take initiative when needed. Above all, you will be committed to growing in your skills, contributing positively to the team, and helping fulfil the vision of Jacob’s Group.
Anything else:
As this role involves supporting vulnerable adults, a DBS check will be required.
