HEY STUDENTS!
WHETHER YOU ARE ALREADY AT UNI, OR ARE STARTING THIS YEAR, WE ARE SO EXCITED TO WELCOME YOU TO CHURCH!
We love students at KingsGate and are passionate about helping you worship Jesus with every part of your lives and find a community which grows and encourages you.
Here's what we have going on this term:
Sunday service
On Sundays, we meet at West Road Concert Hall at 10am for a time of worship and teaching. After the service, we have a student brunch to help you get to know other students and the student team.
Student Nights
This term we're going to kick off with three student nights all together as a student family.
Wednesdays 13, 20 & 27 October
Espresso Library, 210 East Road, 7:30pm
Coffee / Worship / Input / Community
After these student nights, we'll be launching our small groups, called 'Collectives'.
Groups
We think meeting weekly with a small group of people is the best way to grow in your relationship with Jesus and to grow in community. We have a couple of options for students:
COLLECTIVES
Collectives are run collectively by students, tailored towards undergrads. This year, we have 3 collectives, launching after the Student Nights. Here are the details of the collectives running this year:
Silas's Collective, time and location TBC
Ayanfe's Collective, Thursday evenings, location TBC
Rebecca's Collective, time TBC, Jesus College
YOUNG ADULT LIFEGROUPS
Our Young Adult LifeGroups are a mixture of postgraduate students and young adults who live or work in the city. These groups run all year round and meet in people's homes in the city.
If you'd like to join either a Collective or a LifeGroup, let us know using this form and we'll help you find a community to be part of:
Social justice
We follow Jesus' example in caring for the poor and marginalised in society. We have various initiatives that students can get involved in during their time at university such as Foodbank, refugee welcoming, Besom projects and Eco church.
