KingsGate Leadership Academy is a part-time, year-long programme.
When does it start?
Leadership Academy launches in September 2025. The 2025/6 Leadership Academy will follow school terms and end in July 2026.
What is the time commitment?
The time commitment is a total of 16 hours per week comprising:
- Serving a minimum of 8 hours in a KingsGate team (which may include 4 on a Sunday, depending on your placement)
- 6.5 hours as a cohort for teaching, ministry and community
- The equivalent of 0.5 hours a week for mentoring and coaching
- 1 hour a week for independent study
When is the teaching?
All teaching will take place on Mondays.
Typical Monday Timetable:
- 9:30am–12:30pm: teaching, ministry and community
- 12:30pm–1pm: lunch
- 1pm–2pm: Staff Chapel
- 2pm–5pm: time in departments / work / free time (placement dependent)
- 5pm–6pm: dinner together
- 6pm–7:30pm: evening session
What are the costs?
- £700 (+£500 towards a mission trip if this takes place and you participate) with the option to spread this out across the year
- All personal costs, including accommodation, food, and transport for the duration of your year

Who can apply?
- Applicants must be over 18 years old and have proven leadership experience.
- You must be available on Mondays.
- We require that all Leadership Academy Students are KingsGate Partners and have completed the Partnership course prior to starting Leadership Academy. Offers are conditional based on Partnership.

How do I apply?
- All prospective students can apply via our website.
- You will be required to provide two referees.
- Interviews will take place to see if this programme is right for you.
- Places are limited so apply early to avoid disappointment!
