KingsGate Kids

We want to help your family enjoy every part of the Sunday experience.

Our desire is to see a generation of children who love God and are equipped to impact their world; fulfilling their destiny in God.

Each Sunday we provide children’s groups for all ages, and our team are committed to providing a fun, creative, and safe environment where every child can learn about Jesus and experience His love.

Parent & Child Area

We have a Parent & Baby Area with toys and a video link to the online service. We're planning on getting a live link to the auditorium up soon...

18 Months - 4 Years

As well as a time to play with a variety of toys and games, each session includes crafts, colouring, Bible stories, and worship. We are here to make each child's progress through church enjoyable and productive, whilst having fun and teaching them the love of God.

There is always a supervisor and team of helpers on duty, and should your child need you during the service, we are able to let you know.

Reception - School Year 1

Through a variety of fun games and group activities, interactive Bible stories, drama, worship, and craft, we encourage each child to learn to develop a relationship with God.

There is always a supervisor and team of helpers on duty, and should your child need you during the service, we are able to alert you.

School Years 2 - 6

These are action-packed sessions for children in school years two to six and run during the morning service. We believe that children learn best when having fun! We offer a creative session of worship, interactive prayer, crafts, games, and age-specific teaching. Each session follows our in-house curriculum Passport to Purpose, a 26-week programme which grounds children in foundational Christian principles.

Each child has a group leader who works with them in smaller groups organised by age range. Children are encouraged to attend regularly and bring their Bibles (we use the Good News Bible) and to learn the Word by heart. They earn points along the way with an annual prize-giving and award ceremony. The remaining part of the year we use other theme-based teaching programmes. We also offer opportunities and suggestions for parents and carers to be involved in their child’s learning and spiritual development.

It’s fun, you learn about Jesus, you learn about something new each time and you make new friends

Information for parents

KingsGate wants to support you as you seek to support and encourage your children in the love of the God.

ON ARRIVAL: When you arrive for the first time, session leaders will provide you with a registration form to complete; this data is then held on our central database. Each child will be given a sticker to wear during the session: to identify them by name, to alert workers to any allergy information, and to provide a register in the event of a fire. Parents are also given a sticker, which they are asked to present when returning to collect their child. Workers are asked not to allow children to go with anyone other than the person with the sticker. If the sticker has been lost, then please talk with the session leader.

DURING THE SERVICE: Our team will be available to help you find the right group for your child.

EXTRA NEEDS: KingsGate seeks to support children with extra needs. Please identify extra needs on your registration forms to help the team care for your child.

PROTECTION POLICY: Every member of the Children’s Ministry Team has an enhanced disclosure check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
