Baby Dedications
As Christians, dedicating children to God follows the example set in scripture when children were dedicated in the Temple by their parents. (1 Samuel 1:21-22, Luke 2:21-40). At KingsGate we believe that the dedication of babies is based upon the promises made by parent(s). Parents endeavour to raise their child within a Christian environment so that in the future their child is able to make a personal decision to follow Christ for themselves.
Who can dedicate their baby at KingsGate?
Christian parents who are actively involved in the life of the church can apply to dedicate their baby. Anyone who has not dedicated their children as babies can dedicate them up to the age of 11 years.
