we are here to help
If you are struggling with the rising costs of living and are facing financial crisis we are here to help.
Emergency food
Foodbanks exist to support anyone who is facing a financial crisis and needs emergency food. We partner with several churches to run Peterborough Foodbank which also works with Citizens Advice Peterborough; advisors run drop-in sessions at all our Foodbanks to offer information and advice on benefits, housing, immigration and income maximisation issues for anyone who accesses the Foodbank. We also run a Foodbank location in Cambridge and, in Leicester, we work in partnership with Open Hands, a great local charity who are also able to provide emergency food and wider support.
Foodbanks work on a referral basis so please either speak to your Pastoral Leader in the first instance (e.g. LifeGroup Leader / Group Pastor / Area Pastor), or let us know you need food using the form below.
Alternatively, you can find out more about Foodbank support in your area via The Trussell Trust Foodbank’s website.
Care Zone and other practical support
In Peterborough, through the Care Zone, we are able to provide good-quality donated furniture, household good and kitchen utensils to people who do not have these items and are facing financial difficulty, including for those who may have recently experienced homelessness and are allocated accommodation that they need to furnish. In Cambridge and Leicester, through our partnerships with local organisations, practical support is also available.
If you are in crisis and need practical support, our Pastoral Teams are able to make referrals for this help so please either speak to your Pastoral Leader in the first instance or let us know you need practical help.
