DAY 14
Physical Benefits of Seeking the Lord
Yesterday, we looked at some of the spiritual and emotional benefits when seeking the Lord, and today, we’re looking at some of the physical benefits, ‘But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.’ Isaiah 40:31. What a great encouragement for us, that when we’re weary, we can renew our strength as we wait in the presence of the Lord. Life and healing also comes as we seek God by reading His Word, ‘My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.’ Proverbs 4:20-22. Another physical benefit is provision, ‘The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.’ Psalm 34:10. We’ve already seen on Day 3, how the Lord wants to provide for our material needs when, in the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus encourages us to pray, “Give us today our daily bread.” This specific part of the prayer is in the broader context of worship and hallowing the name of the Lord, Yaweh-Yireh, the One who provides. Let’s remember, too, that while it’s clear from scripture that the Lord wants to provide for our physical needs, Jesus encouraged His followers not to be anxious about material things like what to wear, eat or drink because God knows what we need. (See Matthew 6). Let’s rest in the knowledge that, ‘The Lord is wonderfully good to those who wait for him and seek him.’ Lamentations 3:25 (NLT)

Prayer points
- Surrender your practical and physical needs before the Lord. Speak to Him about your cares and burdens. Allow His presence to wash over you and declare His blessing, strength and provision over every aspect of your life.
- Pray that as we continue to seek the Lord together, KingsGate church would be marked by the miraculous. That we would see miracles manifesting in mental health, physical health, emotional health and financial health.
- Pray for the miraculous to travel far and wide. That people would come to KingsGate, knowing they will meet with a God who can heal them, and that we would go out into our world praying for the sick, and seeing them healed in the name of Jesus.
