PAstoral events coordinator

Role description:
Working directly with the Pastoral Coordinator and Area Pastor Team to assist with the coordination and administration of key pastoral events.

Specific tasks:

  • Supporting the Area Pastor Team in the delivery of key events such as baby dedications, weddings and funerals.
  • Strategically planning for seasonal events e.g. Regional Easter events, Family Films, Christmas and missional outreaches.
  • Responding to any enquiries and gathering all information on behalf of the area pastor team in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
  • Managing any applications or queries relating to the events.
  • Working with the pastoral team to ensure all room bookings and resources are in place.
  • Working with any external parties such as venues, catering, decor or funeral directors.
  • Liaising with media and production teams for AV requirements.
  • Supporting on the day where possible (this is not a requirement) or communicating all relevant information to those who are involved on the day.
  • Supporting the management of finances relating to events.
  • Helping to create a great atmosphere and experience for guests.

Person specification

  • Ability to provide a KingsGate pastoral reference.
  • KingsGate Partner.
  • Regular attendance at a LifeGroup.

Key skills, attributes and/or experience:

Essential:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.


Desirable:

  • Previous experience coordinating events.
